Finch ships with a set of keyboard shortcuts covering new conversations, sidebar toggling, search, and composer actions. Press ⌘/ (Ctrl+/ on Windows/Linux) any time in the app to bring up this list.
Below, every ⌘ corresponds to Ctrl on Windows/Linux, and ⌥ to Alt.

Question / permission cards
When Finch asks you a question or requests permission for an action, you don't need to reach for the mouse:

↑ / ↓ | Move between options |
↵ | Select/confirm the current option |
Space | Toggle a checkbox (multi-select) |
⌥← | Go back to the previous question |
Esc | Cancel |
Notes
- Standard system shortcuts for text editing (copy, paste, undo, redo, cursor movement, etc.) follow the OS defaults, with no special overrides.
- Shortcuts currently only work inside the app — there are no system-wide global hotkeys (e.g. "summon Finch from anywhere").
- If you forget a specific key combination, press
⌘/ in the app any time — it's more reliable than any doc.
